Bute Brass was formed in 2006, and is quickly establishing a reputation as one of the leading young brass quintets in Wales. The ensemble have given concerts and recitals at places ranging from schools to St. David’s Hall as part of the Welsh Proms.

Bute Brass is comprised of Cardiff based students who free-lance when ever they can and are also members of various Orchestras, Brass Groups and Brass Bands in and around Cardiff.

The Brass Quintet frequently give recitals and have a great deal of experience providing live musical entertainment.

Bute Brass also pride themselves on being friendly and approachable in any working environment. The Quintet is always flexible and willing to do as much as they can to accommodate your individual needs to the highest possible standard.

Education and Outreach

Bute Brass believe that supporting Music in Education is a prime responsibility for any professional ensemble and devote as much time as possible to widening access to live music for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Although based in Cardiff, Bute Brass frequently performs around the country in places including: Avon, Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, Chippenham, Cirencester, Cheltenham, Chepstow, Exeter, Gloucestershire, Monmouth, Oxford, Reading, South Gloucestershire, Somerset, Stroud, Swindon, Taunton, Wiltshire, Worcester and Wells.
